EQUIPMENT NEEDED

Weight being a critical element, hunters should limit their gear to the basic items and plan according to the type of hunt they have booked. Personal gear should not exceed 70 pounds.

RECOMMENDED GEAR FOR A BASIC HUNT

hunting knife
binoculars
flashlight
camera & film
insect repellent
rifle (270 or larger) along with ammo
toiletries rain gear day pack / packsack
2 pair gloves sleeping bag - light weight / low temp. 0 to -10 sunglasses
2 pair footwear: biking/camping shoes - waterproof/lightweight 3 complete changes of clothes- preferably polar fleece, also long underwear one good warm coat camouflage, preferably fleece

A waterproof high top boot is a must. Good idea to have your boots ahead of time and do some walking in them before coming.

You will notice polar fleece is recommended; it is quiet, lightweight, flexible in movement, warm, and fast drying.
